Spend the afternoon immersed in the world of fungi with a unique experience that begins with a mushroom-focused lunch featuring our cultivated varieties. After the meal, you’ll head into the woods for a guided forage with owner Eric Milligan, where you’ll learn how to identify wild mushrooms, explore their natural habitats, and gather what’s in season.
We’ll wrap up with a group discussion to review your finds, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of mushroom identification and ecology.

The food is incredible and Eric is amazing!!! He is unbelievably knowledgeable about all things fungi and it’s like entering a storybook just listening. He really loves helping people learn and even answers emails when people send pics and ask his advise. It’s a passion where he never tires. We had mushroom hummus, Calder salad w truffle oil, superfood cold green vegetable soup with a variety of grilled mushrooms, more grilled mushrooms, ice cream w a blueberry mushroom compote…. Over the moon good! Sign up!!! You won’t regret it!!
I enjoyed this class quite a bit! Good food, conversationand a wonderful walk in the woods!
Definitely not worth $50 pp. The lunch consisted of mushroom tacos accompanied by water or an infused tea like drink. Some tables had a hummus dip and taco chips, ours did not. If you wanted extra tacos they were available. Some tables were under a tent for sun protection others did not and seating was hot and uncomfortable. The lecture/ instruction on mushrooms was disjointed and the follow-up walk in the woods uninformative. The only highlights or useful information came from a woman who was a yoga instructor who spoke at the event and an experienced mycologist who joined the walk thru the woods. Our group of 4 did not feel it was worth our time or expense. We will still patronize the business but only to purchase their mushrooms for sale from the retail store.
